Amidst the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Wednesday night was host to Copenhagen Fashion Summit's Sustainable Runway Show, showcasing 20 Nordic designers and their clean and ethical designs. These are my favorite looks: a show-stopping black gown by Norwegian Kristofer Kongshaug, made of organic wool, organic cotton, hemp, and bamboo; and a deliciously layered and textured outfit by Icelandic Mundi, made of linen, organic cotton, bamboo, and hemp. Visit Ecouterre to see more wonderful looks, many of which used fabrics made from the byproducts of the crab industry! Is there really any good excuse for fashion to not be sustainable when pieces like these can be greenly made?
