kjoo + cameos = perfection

So lately I've been making a list of places I need to go as soon as possible and/or for the next fashion week (NYC, Portland, and London). These pieces by the lovely Maria of kjoo (no. 467 and no. 453) have momentarily distracted me from lamenting my geographical location, however, and have instead transported me back to my junior high school days. You see, I have always had a deep love for cameos. I quite vividly remember my new outfit for the first day of Grade 7, which consisted of khaki culottes, a Victorian-inspired button up long sleeved shirt complete with black and cream stripes and about 50 buttons, and 2-inch wide pearl and silver brooch which I wore over the top button of the shirt. I loved that brooch to pieces, but I always wished it were a cameo, which would make my outfit 100% cool (!). And now I'm practically drooling over these new kjoo pieces, which perfectly pair vintage cameos with Maria's incredible crocheting and felting. Check out this incredible interview with Maria, Etsy's newest Featured Seller - personally, I'm quite tickled to find out that Björk is Maria's muse.

kjoo: Textile necklace virtuoso

Please excuse the many posts today. However, there are trees strewn all about outside and the winds are threatening to do more damage. So an inside day it is. And I thought you'd want to see this. If I had a money clip full of, well, money, I would be tempted to procure this lovely item for moi. Especially as my last kjoo purchase didn't match me as well as I had hoped (perhaps it matches you?). I really adore the closure on this one, nO. 446. Maria is a crocheting and felting genius.

Phewf!!! Now onto...Closet sale!

Crisis averted/false alarm. I was so wound up that I'm not feeling total relief, but I can slowly try to calm myself down now. Back to normal life now (albeit with a bum leg)!

Tipped off by Queen Michelle and inspired by Cats & Dogs, I've been thinking about opening my own blog shop. I really am not a fan of ebay, in part because of their fees and their shoppers' under-/non-appreciation of handmade clothing. I have a few things I've bought off of Etsy that I no longer wear/have never worn, but I can't sell them on Etsy since I did not make them myself. So I'm thinking perhaps I should offer them to you, my readers, who read this blog because of your love of handmade fashion. Right now, I want to let go of the following (click on description links for original Etsy listings):
Until I get a shop set up, let me know if any of these items interest you. I'll take any offers until I get some proper listings going, and offer $5 shipping worldwide (payment through Paypal). I'll also consider trades! I'm usually a size medium/large, I love any shade of green, and I'm currently obsessed with scarves (particularly of the Necklush variety right now). Depending on the offer/my mood, I might even consider parting with my Lorimarsha London Calling dress (never worn, was $178)...but possibly not.
