Tsolmandakh Munkhuu

Whoa. These photos by Shoji Fujii (from Festival d'Hyères 2010, via ASOVF) are incredible. I can't seem to find much info on the creator of these looks, being Paris-based Mongolian designer Tsolmandakh Munkhuu. And believe me, I've been trying since seeing a glimpse of her work on ASOVF a week ago in the below images. At any rate, I think this is a name to remember. I also have a sudden urge to paint my nails jet black.

This look gets my vote for my favorite outfit I've seen in a long time. Now, how does one get to Mongolia on a shoestring budget?

Edit: Here's a video of the show. So much detail in these pieces!

Whoa is right! Amazing, each and every piece. As usual, you manage to find the most unique designers out there!

The beauty is that the black face paint makes you take notice, but in fact the pieces hold their own.

This collection is completely eye catching from its multi fabric use and juxtaposition.
