Autumnal goodness

You know what? I'm quite comfortable admitting that I am ready for autumn. Yesterday's weather is going to stretch for at least the rest of this week, and I for one will not shed a tear. Perhaps it's the sunburn talking. But really, I have a tendency to layer practically every time I put clothes on, and this is not really the best habit when it's anywhere above 20 degrees. And my most favorite pieces in my closet are quite conducive to said habit. So is it wrong to imagine these pieces with some sleeved base layers and scarves (and maybe even leggings!)? Of course not!

...But, as I do, I'm also imagining wearing some other autumn-friendly pieces which I don't yet own or haven't yet worn. And so, without further ado, my dream autumn outfit for the rest of the week:

The Alexandra Groover Hoody + this lovely Makool embellished tee + A Bonzie Signature Bridal Skirt (minus the bridal-ness, perhaps in some smoky grey shades) + some L.Weatherread leg sleeves, unsure on the colour still (okay, so I'm not ready to give up the flip flops yet)

Bring on those yellow leaves!

Sleeves for your legs

Ooo, I think I need a pair of these. Having missed the boat on the best of the gladiator crop, I think these are a pretty good alternative for myself to wear with some non-gladiator sandals. The ever so lovely Lindsay of L.Weatherread suggests wearing them over/under a pair of gladiators too, which I think is brilliant. And they can be dyed to any colour! How could you go wrong for $35?!! I personally see myself dancing around in them sans shoes in my apartment...Especially as I should stay out of the sun for a while - somehow I got crispified on the coldest, cloudiest day within the last couple of weeks. Sigh.

Presenting...

1) Gorgeous colour in the shape of a vest (just what I want!), by the fabulous Lindsay Weatherread. What? You don't know about her? Well, now you do. And in fact, you already did if you saw my previous blog about my gorgeous ruched raw cotton shirt/jacket (yes, that's just cotton).

2) Lilian Asterfield's upcycled necktie ascot with mess (sic) and beads. And what a lovely mess it is.

3) And (sorry to break the black-haired model trend), this must-have jersey dress by mydearthing. I'm pretty sure jersey will remain my most trusted friend throughout all my years. Especially if it's draped.

One of each please! (My birthday is coming up...)

Fashion therapy

Day 2 of staying home sick with back pain. My muscles along my spine are all swollen, so I didn't really feel like going to work and lifting bins of blood and plasma all day. Although perhaps the -50 degree Celsius freezer would've felt nice...

It's actually sunny and warm out today, so today I'm thinking of this outfit:

L. Weatherread's delightful "origami for your body", her 'Ruched raw cotton shirt/jacket' (with wood enclosure, rather than horn) + My second ever Bonzie purchase, my beloved 'Ethereal Elegant Dress' + The last pair of leather shoes I will ever buy - red patent flats, Belle by Sigerson Morrison. I dreamed about these red shoes (they're magic shoes!) and rescued them from the last pair sale shelf. Every girl should have a pair of red shoes.

Now in reality I don't wear short dresses, so this outfit would be completed by some skinny black jeans, methinks. And I'd really really like this bag too, celapiu's Hybrid Bag in Large:

I hope my back feels better tomorrow. The red shoes should cure it.
